CANCELED

Regretfully, we will not be playing Shed Fest this time around. You're encouraged to still attend, as many fine bands will still be doing their best to ring in the new year with a bombastic blast. Hopefully, we'll get to partake in the next Shed Fest, if one develops in the warmer months of 2011.

Happy New Year.

Death by Audio, Fri. 11/12/10

We're playing Death by Audio along with our friends The Men. This will be the first time we've played together in about 15 months, and at that time we did not know one another. Also on the bill are local hardcore heroes Pollution and Tampa's intoxicated eardrum surgeons, Neon Blud.

I can't wait.

Tommy's Tavern, Sat. 8/14/10

As a bit of a last-minute thing, we've jumped on board with a show at Tommy's Tavern this Saturday (the night before our other show). This one features many of our friends and their bands, as well as Let Me Crazy—a band I've been wanting to catch for quite some time now. It's Chris from Let Me Crazy's birthday. Might have to make this set something... special.

We go on late... but not the latest. Get there early and be blown away by band after band after band of greatness.

Stolen Sleeves Collective, Sun. 8/15/10

Edit: (new flier)

We will be playing next Sunday, 8/15, at 538 Johnson's own Stolen Sleeves Collective. The best way to get to this infamous punk party house is to take the L to Jefferson and then walk just a few blocks. But most people will tell you to take the L to Morgan and do the same. Take your pick!

Edit: JB's personal walking directions...
Note: While taking Harrison is maybe a bit quicker, last time I went down that road (which was this past weekend) it smelled like concentrated filth. So: walk it at your own risk! But I've got nothin' against Harrison. Hey—it's my middle name.

Bruar Falls, Wed. 7/14/10

We are playing a show at Bruar Falls this Wednesday.

It will be our 20th show—unless we're forgetting one? And we will all (save for Greg, who has not changed) appear much more attractively than we do in the aged photo gracing the venue's web page.

Leaner... Yes, one would not be wrong in adding "meaner", as well.

So... Come out!!! We'll be playing with those deviant Video Daughters pals of ours, as well as with our friend Conrad Burnham's new project, Y/Y.

airWAVs...

Anyone within reachable distance of the internet this evening @ 6PM should tune in to Hunter College's radio station website, as we Marsh Hens will be making an oh-so-special guest appearance on Lani's radtastically-titled PIZZA PARTY program. (Just click the play button on the page's left-hand side.) We'll be playing a set and flexing our conversational muscles. I don't think the show will be cataloged for later listening, so you've gotta tune in LIVE to find out...
will there
be pizza?

Hen Bomb

I drew this thing in MSPaint last week. Not bad, eh? I was just trying to combine a hen with a bomb. I didn't realize till after it was done that the hen comes off seeming decapitated. But I guess that is pretty "punk." I hear that's what the kiddies like.

Maybe I'll put this on a shirt? Who knows . . .

Five-Oh . . .

So it's a bad thing when the Pigs shut down your band practice.
(Disturbing the peace, I guess—the theft-ridden, beatings-laden, shootings-addled "peace.")

. . . But maybe it's a good sign?

We're a punk rock band. We play loud, abrasive music.
So you can fucking suck it, boys in blue.

At least we're doing our job right.

If you wanted to do a real service to the community,
with your breathtaking intellects and paunchy physiques,
why didn't you all just become Phys Ed teachers?

Suffice it to say, my mind is forever-blown by your life decisions.
